As little as possible

Profiles are minimal: a name to credit material to, and a way to reach you about a contribution. There are no followers or activity feeds, and the archive itself does not build advertising profiles.

Your personal archive and attendance timeline are private by default. You may choose to publish a fan profile containing your display name, optional country and fan-since year, archive contribution totals, badges, favourites and the concerts you marked as attended. Your email address, account role and private contact details are never included.

Uploaded files often carry embedded metadata, including location. Where it exists, you are told about it. Location data is used only to suggest which concert a recording may belong to; exact coordinates are never published. The venue and city are shown instead, and sensitive embedded metadata can remain private while the original file is preserved unchanged.

Memories are published with the name you choose. They can be withdrawn on request.

Audio and video recordings are sent directly from your browser to Bunny.net, the archive’s storage and streaming provider. Bunny.net retains the unchanged original and prepares separate copies for web playback. The archive stores the filename, size, format, duration, image dimensions and any recording date it could infer in order to preserve the file and suggest a matching concert.

A suggested date or concert is never treated as fact: you can correct it before upload and archive staff review the match before publication. The original is not made public; visitors receive the provider’s streaming version after approval. Copyright holders may request removal.

The concert map asks for your device location only after you choose “Use my location”. Your browser controls that permission. The archive uses the result once to centre the map; it does not send the coordinates to the archive server, save them, or attach them to your account.

Google Maps supplies the map. When you select a venue, its name, city and country may be sent to Google Places to find a public street address. Device-location and venue lookup data are therefore also handled under Google’s privacy terms. You can use the geographic list below the map without sharing your device location.

The footer may show how many people are actively browsing the archive, but only when more than two visitors are present. This count uses a temporary anonymous browser-tab session and is not connected to an account, profile or contribution history.

The temporary presence disappears when the tab is hidden or closed. The archive does not retain a history of these presence sessions or use them for advertising or visitor profiling.

When enabled by the archive administrator, archive-hosted video may show a short preroll advertisement at a limited interval to help pay storage and streaming costs. Audio recordings, YouTube embeds and staff previews do not use this advertising flow.

The advertising software and VAST provider are contacted only when an advertisement is due. They may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser and may use cookies or similar identifiers for delivery, measurement or personalisation. The archive keeps only a counter in your browser to avoid showing an advertisement with every video; this counter is not linked to your account.
